Blessed & Rewarded
James 1:12 (NASB®)
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised
to those who love Him.
You don't have to be particularly prophetic or discerning to see there
is trouble around us and ahead of us. I think we are approaching the end
of the age. But I’m not interested in trying to convince you of that,
or in engaging in a discussion of whether or not we will be here to
experience the tribulation the Bible describes. Because no matter the
timing and sequence of the last days, these are our last days. If we are
so privileged to be the generation that is called to stand on behalf of
our Lord prior to His return, I hope you will gladly stand up to
whatever comes. We are given just one trip under the sun; there are no
do-overs. So, remember, when we face trials for the name of Jesus and
persevere, we will be blessed and rewarded. The crown of life we will
receive will be far grander and more permanent than any monarch’s prized
crown jewels.
THINK ABOUT IT
Living today with our eyes on eternity will help us to persevere and endure.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, You are my Strength and Redeemer. I rejoice to serve
You in this season for I know the joy that is ahead. You are a faithful
God. Nothing escapes Your notice, and You are a rewarder of those who
diligently seek You. Let the name of Jesus be exalted, amen.
