Jesus Can
Acts 9:3-5 (NIV®)
As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven
flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him,
“Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
Are there people in your life you believe might be beyond the reach of
Jesus’ salvation? The people Paul had been persecuting probably thought
that about him. But imagine his explanation: “I met Jesus on the road to
Damascus, and my life has made a complete turnaround. I’ve separated
myself from all my professional mentors, and I’ve left everything behind
to walk into the unknown. But it’s all worth it because of Jesus. I’m
going to serve Him the rest of my life.” Paul was an educated man,
steeped in Judaism, and you’d think He’d have to be convinced through
logical means. Instead, Jesus threw Him in the dust and immediately
began to teach Him about a new kind of life. Even Paul was not beyond
the reach of Jesus’ love and salvation. Jesus can change a life and use
it for His glory!
THINK ABOUT IT
Do you have someone you know, personally, who seems beyond the reach of God? Keep praying for their salvation and deliverance.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, You are a God who delivers those in darkness into the
Kingdom of light. I rejoice in Your faithfulness and the display of Your
grace and mercy. May Your hand of healing, deliverance, and restoration
apprehend ____________. In Jesus’ name, amen.
