Spiritual Insight

1 Corinthians 2:12 (NIV®)
What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

Our bodies come equipped with amazing abilities, but there are many things we do not have the tools to experience. Have you ever looked at a drop of pond water under a microscope? There is an entire world in there! You would also be astonished if you could see the radio waves filling the room where you are right now. The Bible tells us that we also live in a spiritual realm invisible to us, but it coexists with and impacts the world we can experience. It is immensely helpful if we can begin to think in terms of that spiritual world. When we begin to invite the Spirit of God into our hearts more fully, He will give us insight into things beyond what we can see, and greater understanding of all God has done for us. This spiritual insight is a wonderful gift from God. It helps us put boundaries on the cravings that result from our limited sensory input and see things from His spiritual perspective.

Seeing things from God’s spiritual perspective is essential to fulfilling all His highest purposes for our lives and helping others do the same.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for granting me insight and understanding. Forgive me for when I have ignored or rejected Your perspective. I choose to cooperate with You, believe Your Word, and receive the insight I need to grow spiritually and honor You with my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
