Revelation of Jesus
Psalm 122:6-7 (NIV®)
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.”
I hope you regularly pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Jewish people from
all over the world have been gathered there, and it's a difficult place
to live. In recent days we've seen the hatred focused on them, and the
millions of people who would like nothing more than to see them wiped
off the face of the earth. But we should pray for more than just the
absence of conflict. We should pray there will be peace between God and
the people of the land. The only person who is going to bring real,
lasting peace to the Middle East is the Prince of Peace. So, let’s pray
for a revelation of Jesus as the Messiah, not only in the city of
Jerusalem, but across the nation of Israel and the other nations of the
Middle East.
THINK ABOUT IT
Let’s pray for those who will say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem—a true peace only the
Prince of Peace, Jesus, can bring. In mercy, grace, and kindness,
awaken Your people throughout the earth to stand together in glorifying
You and proclaiming Jesus as Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
