Kindness Beyond Measure

James 1:17 (NASB®)
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

God is so good to us! We are blessed people, but we usually don't keep that front-and-center in our thoughts. We certainly don't say it often enough or loudly enough. We spend more time focused on what is not than on who God is and what He has done. When we focus on negative things, it robs us of joy, peace, and the confidence to face what's next. God has delivered us from so much of which we are not even aware. We don’t realize all the career pitfalls He helped us avoid, all the accidents He steered us away from, and even the diseases we could have suffered from but didn’t. Every material blessing is a gift from His hand. God has shown us kindness beyond measure or understanding. He has kept us, delivered us, and restored us. I’m thankful to be the child of a loving God who never changes, because I know I can trust Him with my future.

THINK ABOUT IT
Imagine all the places and times God has intervened in your life, preventing what might have destroyed or hindered you or His plans. Then, thank Him for His kindness.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Thank You for protecting and providing for me. I am grateful for Your kindness, mercy, and patience. Forgive me for when I disrespectfully grumble. You watch over my life with great love. My trust is in You, and I am thankful for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
