“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Have you ever encountered someone who was extremely excited about a particular product, or a sports team, or a movie they saw? Their enthusiasm is almost contagious. Sometimes I wonder why we’re not all like that about the Savior of our souls. Somewhere along the way, many of us have lost our enthusiasm for inviting people toward Jesus. We have become timid and hesitant. We don’t want to push our faith on anyone else. But I’m determined to not be silent. I’m excited about Jesus! He has brought freedom to me. He’s brought hope to me. He’s brought life to me. In Jesus, we are saved and forgiven. We have been set free from guilt and shame so we can stand upright, blameless before God. In Jesus, we have been delivered from the bondage of bad habits and things that try to control us. In Jesus, we are not defined by our families, our circumstances, or the traumas in our lives. So, I’m not going to hush. I intend on telling His story, and Christmas is the perfect time to start.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ. Thank You for saving me and setting me free. Give me courage and strength to share my story and Your good news with others this Christmas. Let my enthusiasm for You be a light in this dark world. In Jesus’ name, amen.
