God Can Do Anything

Ephesians 3:20-21 (MSG®)

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

People will sometimes come to me and say, “Pastor, my faith is weak. I know I’m inconsistent. I manage to put on a ‘church face’ when I need to, but my heart is not really in it. I’m a long way from what God wants me to be.” This scripture is what I remind myself of often and what I share with them. God wants to help us—not by pushing us around, not by intimidating us or threatening us. God wants to work within us by His Spirit, gently but deeply, in order to bring change. Jesus will bring freedom, hope, and restoration to any life—no matter how imperfect your journey looks, no matter how far away from Him you feel. God can do anything—far more than we can even imagine to ask for! That’s the good news we have to share with the world, and we should be eager to share it with everyone.

Remind yourself of all the times when God proved to you that He could do anything. Your God-story will help others believe.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, You have uniquely blessed us. The earth is Yours and everything in it—You are the sovereign Creator of all things. Your love sustains me, and Jesus, Your only Son, is my Savior, Lord & King. Nothing is too difficult for You! In Jesus’ name, amen.
