Incomparable Love
Ephesians 3:17-19 (NIV®)
I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
We love a lot of things, don’t we? We love ice cream. We love the colorful leaves of autumn. We love a baby’s laughter. We love our favorite books and movies. We love the smell of a new car. We love our country. On another level, we love our families and perhaps our closest friends. But none of those “loves” compares to the love Christ has for us. In fact, His love is greater than any definition or example of love that we have. Paul said even though God’s love “surpasses knowledge,” he prayed we would be able to grasp its immensity, take hold of it for ourselves, and become “rooted and established” in it. When we do, we can look forward to being “filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” What a wonderful promise!

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, grant me a deeper revelation of Your great love. You alone are my Source of abundant life. You fill my days with abundance, purpose, and joy—bringing dignity to my existence. To Jesus, my loving Lord and Savior, be all glory and praise. In His name, amen.
