Invisible Influence
Romans 1:20 (NIV®)
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Paul tells us while the God we worship is invisible, He can be clearly seen in what He has made and what He has done. Because of that, no one can claim they have no knowledge of God. Scripture clearly teaches there is a spiritual realm active all around us. So, I encourage you not to reject the notion of invisible things having influence in our lives. Instead, we need to become more aware of the existence of the invisible world. We need to learn to live as if the spiritual realm is as real and important as the world we encounter with our five senses. It is in this world that our personal spiritual growth happens, and spiritual victories are won and lost. It is in this world where we receive the power of God’s Spirit to make a difference for Him during our days on the earth.
THINK ABOUT IT
Believing God is Creator of Heaven and Earth is a prerequisite to realizing the invisible evidence of His character and power.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I believe You are the Living God, Creator of all things. May Your Holy Spirit sharpen my awareness of and responses to invisible influences around me. “To the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen” (1 Timothy 1:17).
