Justification and Grace

Galatians 2:16 (NIV®)
We, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

To be justified before God means we are pure—as if we had never sinned. That’s hard for us to believe because we are well acquainted with our flaws and shortcomings. But when you understand the gift of Jesus’ righteousness―that you are “justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law”―you’ll be more aware of the grace that God has showered upon you than you are the less-than-perfect chapters of your life. God’s love for you will ring louder in your ears than Satan’s accusations. Recognize that he is the source of those accusations, and do not allow him to take up residence in your mind. Focus on God’s love for you and the gift of justification that is yours, through the blood of Jesus Christ.

THINK ABOUT IT
When we accept Christ, we are changed from sin to grace. God forgives and saves us, through the blood of Jesus.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I come before You in humility, acknowledging I am completely powerless to save myself. Thank You for sending Your Son, whose righteousness is now my own. Thank You that, through His shed blood, I am justified and blameless in Your sight. In His name, amen.
