Romans 8:26-27
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
I believe God, in His mercy and grace, shakes the unstable things we put our trust in, and awakens us—not to be angry, embittered, or condemning—but to begin to yield our lives, once again, to His truth. When Jesus was completing His assignment in time, He invested significant effort in preparing His friends. There is much we can learn from reading the Gospels and observing how Jesus led and interacted with them. Though Jesus is not physically walking among us today, He has not stepped away from us—not with His attention, not with His power, and not with His authority. He sent His Spirit to lead us in truth and empower us for His purposes. Jesus is still Lord of all!
THINK ABOUT IT
God does not abandon us. He is always at work, His timing is perfect, and we can call on His Spirit to help us.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your power, which is at work within every one of Your people to cleanse, forgive, convict, and deliver. I acknowledge I am not here today in my strength alone. I come in humility before You and invite You into my life. Bring life to my body, peace to my heart, and hope to my soul so the obstacles that have stood immovable and irresolute before me will yield today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
